Infertility is caused by many factors, including nutrition, diseases, and other malformations of the uterus.

Infertility is a problem of the reproductive system. It affects the body's ability to reproduce. It could be caused by a problem with the man’s system, the woman’s system, or both. For a pregnancy, these must happen:

  • The man must make healthy sperm.
  • The woman must make healthy eggs.
  • The fallopian tubes must be open to let the sperm to reach the egg.
  • The sperm must be able to fertilize the egg.
  • The fertilized egg must implant in the uterus.
  • The embryo must be healthy.

Causes of infertility :

When a couple is unable to conceive even after having frequent unprotected vaginal intercourse for 6-12 months, there is a possibility that one or both of the partners have infertility issues. Some of the major causes of infertility in females are as follows :

  • - AGE A woman's fertility peaks in the early and mid 20s, after which it starts to decline, with this decline being accelerated after age 35. However, the exact estimates of the chances of a woman to conceive after a certain age are not clear, with research giving differing results. The chances of a couple to successfully conceive at an advanced age depend on many factors, including the general health of a woman and the fertility of the male partner.
  • - Tobacco smoking
  • - Sexually transmitted infections
  • - Body weight and eating disorders
  • - Autoimmune diseases
  • - Radiation and chemotherapy
  • - diseases like celiac disease , thyroid disorders , PID , diabetes mellitus , PCOS , endometriosis , tubal adhesions , uterine fibroids etc.
  • - hormonal imbalances
  • - Genetic causes
